From my first TretHarley to Cruise-Calendar.eu

My story with TretHarleys began at Christmas 2011. That was when I fulfilled my wish of owning my very first TretHarley. What started as a hobby gradually developed into a passion that has accompanied me through many special experiences, events and encounters over the years.

Whether it was the May Day Cruises in Karlsruhe, which sometimes brought together 50 to 60 bikes, or international events – I was right there in the middle of it all.

In 2013, for example, we travelled to Amsterdam for four days with a motorcycle trailer and two bikes. We took part in several group cruises while we were there. Berlin was also on the agenda in 2013. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our participation in the Capital Cruise after a traffic accident on the way there.

I also organised events of my own. One of them was the “Rheinste Vergnügen”, which I organised around 2014. It was a very special event that I still remember fondly: this was the cruise where I received my marriage proposal.

The bikes even accompanied me all the way to the altar. In 2016, we rode our bikes to our civil wedding ceremony – first taking the train to Freiburg and then riding together from the station to the registry office. Naturally, the bikes were also part of our humanist wedding ceremony.

Other special memories include the cruise in Nordenham ahead of Heligoland, as well as many other gatherings and rides.

My commitment to the community

My connection to the scene goes far beyond simply attending events.

When the German TretHarley forum was facing closure around 2021/2022, I stepped in and took responsibility to help preserve the platform and an important part of the German community.

How Cruise-Calendar.eu came about

With Cruise-Calendar.eu, I created another project that is particularly close to my heart.

I wanted to create a central place where events involving our bikes could be discovered not just regionally, but throughout Europe.

To make this happen, I search Facebook, social media, event websites and other sources, research dates and collect as many gatherings, rides and events as possible.

I make all these events available in a clearly organised event list and on an interactive event map.

My goal is to connect the European bike community more closely, make events easier to discover and help you find your next shared adventure.

And best of all: using Cruise-Calendar.eu will always remain free of charge!

Together, not alone – your support is welcome!

Of course, I cannot be everywhere at once, and I don't hear about every event. That's why Cruise-Calendar.eu also depends on your help.

  • Organising an event? Feel free to send me the date and all the important details.

  • Know about an event that's missing? I'm grateful for every tip!

  • Would you like to help and have some time to spare? Whether it's researching new events or helping maintain the calendar, an extra pair of hands is always welcome.

Every event submission and every bit of support helps bring our community even closer together across Europe.

Cruise-Calendar.eu – by the community, for the community.

Yours,
Stephie, aka woelfchen83
